Position Purpose
Evaluate user business and software requirements and develop new applications or enhance existing and off-the-shelf applications.
Improve the efficiency of university business processes through system and software solutions.
Manage medium- to major-sized projects and potentially supervise the work of others.
Responsibilities
- Lead analysis of client business and functional requirements for medium- and large-scope projects.
- Help determine the technical, operational, and economic feasibility of projects.
- Create technical designs, system specifications, and plans.
- Develop complex programs and oversee the work of others.
- Test, debug, and perform integration tests to ensure correct software functionality.
- Create and review documentation for releases and application upgrades.
- Coordinate software releases in alignment with established procedures.
- Review repair and maintenance requirements for current systems and software.
Qualifications and Experience
- University degree in Computer Science or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least five years of experience developing and implementing software applications.
