Role Overview
Wingmate is seeking a Senior Software Developer to build features, improve core systems, and mentor developers.
The role supports software for field-service, sales, and operations teams and reports to the Director of Engineering.
Workplace and Employment
- The position is fully remote within Canada, with Toronto preferred.
- The role is full-time and permanent.
Architecture and Development
- Lead the design and implementation of major product features and enhancements.
- Contribute to core services using Rails, React, AWS, and related technologies.
- Improve performance, scalability, security, and reliability across the stack.
- Review, refactor, and optimize existing code.
Leadership and Collaboration
- Mentor mid-level and junior developers.
- Participate in sprint planning, estimation, and technical decisions.
- Help define engineering practices, coding standards, and testing strategies.
- Partner with QA, Product Management, Support, and Operations on releases.
