Senior Software Developer - Enterprise Permit & Licencing (Computer Services Officer 4)

Primary Accountabilities

Qualifications and Experience

• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, SASS, and JavaScript for front-end development.
• Skilled in object-oriented programming, with recent experience in .NET, C#, Python and Java.
• Comprehensive understanding of the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), focusing on developing secure custom applications.
• Proficiency with SQL databases, GIT, and MVC architectures, underscoring a strong foundation in software engineering principles.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies, demonstrating flexibility and efficiency in project management.
• Proven ability to integrate modern applications with legacy systems and external government or third-party services; e.g. expertise in developing and utilizing web-based APIs, particularly RESTful services.
• Strong understanding of security, privacy and compliance requirements including protection of sensitive personal data
• Experience with database design, data migration, and data quality assurance
• A strong advocate for mobile-first and responsive UI/UX design practices.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Exceptional time management skills and the ability to balance multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with proficiency in English.
• Experience in leading, mentoring, and coaching team members, fostering a collaborative team environment.
• Self-starter with a knack for quickly adapting to new technologies and delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines.
• Skilled in providing accurate project estimates, crucial for planning and resource allocation.

Must haves:

• A minimum of an undergraduate university degree in a related field with 5 years of experience; or completion of a recognized Information Technology Program with 5.5 years of experience.
• Nice-to-Haves :
• Experience with frameworks such as Bootstrap, jQuery, Spring Boot, Django, and other frameworks.
• Knowledge in DevOps, process automation, CI/CD pipelines, and container-based architectures.
• Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning concepts.
• We will assess the above qualifications and experience using tools such as assessments, presentations, interviews, reference checks, etc.

• Salary Range: $3,410.48 - $4,005.58 Bi-Weekly
