Betashares is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to help Betashares Direct build and operate reliable, scalable software.

The role treats reliability as a software problem addressed through code, automation, and sound engineering practices.

The engineer will work with software engineers and technology stakeholders on the reliability of an AWS-based platform.

Engineer and improve reliable, scalable, and maintainable systems supporting Betashares Direct.
Build software, tooling, and automation to reduce manual operational work and improve engineering productivity.
Improve reliability, resilience, and observability for applications and services running in AWS.
Partner with software engineering teams to design systems that can be safely deployed, operated, and evolved at scale.
Improve deployment, release, and operational practices so teams can deliver changes quickly and safely.
Solve recurring reliability issues through engineering and automation rather than manual processes.
Contribute to incident response and post-incident improvement by turning operational learnings into engineering changes.
Help define reliability measures, engineering standards, and operational practices.
Provide senior technical judgment on reliability, complexity, delivery speed, and operational risk trade-offs.
