Role Overview
Build proactive and automated security operations capabilities for a distributed platform processing regulated financial transactions continuously.
Own outcomes across threat detection and response, AI-driven defense, security hardening, and cross-functional security integration.
Threat Detection and Response
- Build SIEM rules, anomaly baselines, and alert enrichment to identify threats early and reduce noise.
- Conduct threat hunts using behavioral analytics, log forensics, and threat intelligence.
- Tune EDR/XDR configurations to improve attack visibility and reduce false positives.
- Build automated incident response playbooks that contain threats quickly.
- Create dashboards for detection coverage, incidents, misconfigurations, and policy compliance.
Security Hardening
- Assess cloud, endpoint, network, and application configurations against MITRE ATT&CK, CIS, and NIST benchmarks.
- Apply least privilege, MFA, conditional access, and stronger IAM controls across cloud workloads.
- Strengthen container security, CI/CD guardrails, WAF/CDN controls, and automated compliance scanning.
