Senior Security Engineer – SOC & Security Deployment (Zscaler / Netskope / EDR)

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and manage Zscaler (ZIA, ZPA) and Netskope (SWG, CASB, DLP) solutions
• Implement traffic forwarding methods including PAC files, GRE/IPsec tunnels, and client connectors
• Configure SSL inspection, sandboxing, and data loss prevention (DLP) controls
• Deploy and integrate EDR solutions (CrowdStrike preferred) with SIEM/SOAR platforms
• Develop, tune, and optimize detection use cases and alerts to reduce false positives
• Perform incident investigation, root cause analysis, and threat hunting activities
• Collaborate with SOC teams to enhance monitoring and response capabilities

Cloud Security Platforms (Zscaler & Netskope)

• ZIA: URL filtering, firewall policies, bandwidth control, SSL inspection
• ZPA: Application segmentation, secure access policies, connector deployment
• Netskope:
• SWG (secure web gateway, proxy, web control)
• CASB (SaaS visibility and governance)
• DLP (data protection and compliance policies)
• Strong knowledge of traffic steering (PAC, GRE/IPsec, agent-based)
• Troubleshooting experience (latency, SSL issues, policy conflicts)

Soc & Detection Engineering

• Alert triage, incident response, and threat hunting
• Hands-on experience with SIEM tools (Splunk / Microsoft Sentinel)
• Detection rule creation, tuning, and log correlation

Edr & Integrations

• Deployment and optimization of EDR tools (CrowdStrike preferred)
• Integration with SIEM, SOAR, and threat intelligence platforms

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of experience in security engineering and SOC operations
• Proven hands-on experience with both deployment and operational security environments

Preferred Certifications

• Zscaler (ZIA / ZPA) certifications
• Netskope certifications
• CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CCSP
• SOC-related certifications (CySA+, CEH)
