Security engineers protect network boundaries, harden systems and network devices, monitor attacks, and provide services for sensitive data.

The role covers infrastructure, software designs, and technology stacks across acquired and Alphabet companies.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and implement security solutions for cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
- Review cloud architecture and deployed infrastructure through technical security assessments.
- Develop threat models, provide design feedback, report findings, and recommend remediation.
- Create solutions and documentation that align cloud, on-premises, and third-party systems with security standards.
- Build Python or Go security tools and processes for infrastructure protection, monitoring, and remediation.
- Work with partner teams to identify and fix security flaws and vulnerabilities.
- Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
Experience
- Use industry experience to own and drive resolution of complex security incidents, policy questions, and technical security issues.
