Carsales is hiring a Senior DevSecOps Engineer within its Cyber Security team.
The role operates at the intersection of software development and security, with autonomy and influence over the engineering roadmap.
The position focuses on standardizing and automating how cloud applications and agentic systems are built, deployed, and run.
What you will do
- Embed security automation into infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
- Standardize security practices through infrastructure as code and AWS service orchestration.
- Secure CI/CD gates and deployment practices across build, release, and run phases.
- Automate vulnerability operations and secure dependency management.
- Build OTEL-based observability and monitoring for agentic systems.
- Contribute to incident response efforts.
- Design and mature security solutions across complex environments.
What we are looking for
- Demonstrated software, platform, and security engineering experience.
- Experience implementing end-to-end orchestration and secure AWS patterns.
- Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD gates.
- Exposure to secure dependency management and runtime vulnerability remediation.
- Hands-on practical use of AI for security and curiosity about novel threats and agentic systems.
- Ability to influence and multiply effective security practices across technical teams.
- Successful candidates must complete a National Police Record check.
