Full Job Posting
Architect, build and optimize modern SAP data platform solutions based on SAP Business Data Cloud, SAP Datasphere and SAP HANA Cloud, applying SAP reference architectures, Clean Core principles and LSA++ layering.
Design robust data models in SAP Datasphere - spaces, tables, graphical and SQL views, associations and analytic models - from source connection through to a governed, documented consumption layer.
Implement and tune replication flows, transformation flows and task chains, including delta and change data capture handling, error recovery and restart ability.
Establish and maintain connectivity to SAP and non-SAP sources using ODP, ABAP CDS, SAP Landscape Transformation (SLT), Smart Data Integration with the Data Provisioning Agent, cloud object storage and JDBC.
Model and optimize on SAP HANA Cloud: calculation views, SQL Script procedures, partitioning, indexing and memory footprint management.
Take and justify design decisions on federation versus persistence, data tiering and retention, with explicit attention to platform cost and data volume growth.
Define and publish data products within SAP Business Data Cloud, including catalogue entries, semantics and documented consumption contracts for downstream teams.
Implement platform security and tenant governance: space design, row-level and object-level security, data access controls, and naming and transport standards.
Operate the platform in production - monitoring, alerting, incident response, transport and release management across development, quality and production tiers.
Collaborate closely with the sales team to present architecture concepts, solution scenarios and demos to clients, and to support estimation and scoping of new engagements.
Represent Evora as a thought leader by conducting client workshops, publishing expert content, contributing to the SAP Community, and speaking at conferences and user group events.
Work with SAP Data Analysts and solution architects to agree the semantic layer boundary and hand over documented, tested and supportable models.
Maintain awareness of SAP partner programme requirements, competencies and specializations relevant to the data and analytics portfolio.
Contribute reusable assets, engineering standards and documentation to the Evora Analytics CoE.
Minimum 5+ years of experience in data engineering and analytics, with proven expertise building SAP data platforms.

Minimum two end-to-end SAP Datasphere or SAP BW/4HANA implementations delivered in a build or lead capacity.
Expert SQL, including window and analytical functions, and the ability to read and act on a query execution plan.
Strong proficiency in data warehouse modelling, including dimensional design and SAP LSA++ layering principles.
Demonstrable experience extracting from SAP S/4HANA or SAP ECC, including CDS view and ODP-based delta extraction.
Strong proficiency in Python and/or SQL Script for automation, validation and platform tooling.
Experience of production accountability, including incident diagnosis and resolution under agreed service levels.
Strong communication skills - able to explain platform constraints and design trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
SAP Business Data Cloud: data products, Foundation Services, and the Object Resource Discovery catalogue.
SAP Databricks or Databricks: PySpark, Delta Lake, Delta Sharing and Unity Catalog.
Knowledge of SAP BTP administration: subaccounts, entitlements, destinations, Cloud Connector and SAP Private Link.
Experience with SAP BW bridge and BW to Datasphere migration assessment.
Git-based development workflows, transport automation, and CI/CD for data artefacts (for example SAP Continuous Integration and Delivery service, abapGit, gCTS).
Integration of SAP data into Microsoft Fabric, Power BI or other non-SAP platforms via mirroring, replication or Delta Sharing.
Experience with time series or high-volume industrial data in asset-intensive environments, including SAP Asset Performance Management.
Working knowledge of the Microsoft data stack (Microsoft Fabric, Azure, Power BI), given the combined SAP and Microsoft practice.
SAP certification in a relevant data platform area - for example SAP Certified Associate: Data Engineer, SAP Datasphere; SAP Certified Associate: SAP HANA Cloud Modeling; or SAP Certified Associate: Modeling with SAP BW/4HANA.
Strong analytical thinking and a structured, solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
Self-starter with the ability to work independently, proactively, and across time zones with distributed teams.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a high level of customer orientation and service mindset.
Commitment to clean-coding standards, documentation, and knowledge sharing rather than individual heroics.
