Job Summary

  • The Senior Sales Engineer is responsible for driving high value sales of Steel Building/PEB solutions by developing key clients, securing major projects, and achieving sales targets.
  • The role involves handling complex enquiries, leading negotiations, preparing and reviewing proposals, and ensuring successful closure of contracts.
  • The position also requires mentoring junior sales staff, coordinating with internal teams, and contributing to strategic business growth and market development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new business opportunities and expand MBS Steel Building/PEB sales across African markets
  • Identify, approach, and convert potential clients, contractors, and developers in assigned territories
  • Generate enquiries and coordinate with estimation teams to prepare competitive proposals and quotations
  • Understand client requirements and provide suitable technical and commercial solutions
  • Manage end to end sales cycle including follow ups, negotiations, and contract closure
  • Build and maintain strong long term relationships with key clients and stakeholders
  • Represent MBS at meetings, exhibitions, and industry events across Africa
  • Achieve assigned sales targets in line with regional business plans
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and project opportunities in the region
  • Coordinate with internal teams (estimation, engineering, customer service) to ensure timely execution
  • Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and market updates for management review

Requirements

  • B.E. in Civil Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience, including at least 3 years of mandatory experience in the Pre Engineered Buildings (PEB) and Structural Steel industry
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship building skills
  • Arabic and French speaking is preferred
  • Experience in African markets is highly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of international sales, export markets, and project based selling
  • Target oriented, self motivated, and strong business development mindset
