Senior RF Engineer II - Radar

RF and Program Support

• Design and analyze radar waveforms for space-based imaging and detection applications.
• Model and simulate radar systems using MATLAB, STK, or custom orbital-propagation codes.
• Assess and integrate COTS RF components for space-qualified transmit and receive chains.
• Support radar testing, multidisciplinary engineering interfaces, proposals, requirements reviews, and engineering reviews.
• Provide technical support to customers and troubleshoot radar performance.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience with space-based radar systems, integration, mission operations, imaging modes, processing, and performance assessment.
• Strong understanding of orbital mechanics, spacecraft systems, and subsystem impacts on radar payload design.
• Strong knowledge of waveform design, pulse compression, Doppler processing, RF systems, link budgets, linearity, and noise analysis.
• Experience delivering radar or RF systems from requirements through testing for space applications.
• Proficiency with radar simulation and orbital analysis software and experience with radar testing.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a DoD TS/SCI clearance are required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Existing DoD TS/SCI clearance.
• Experience with advanced SAR techniques such as GMTI, InSAR, or polarimetry.
• Extensive experience with space-grade radar design and environmental testing.

Work Environment

• The position may involve prolonged sitting, standing, walking, and computer work.
• The position may involve occasional moderate noise, dust, and fumes in production areas.

Compensation

• Base salary is listed at $141,800–$212,600 USD annually.
• Total compensation, including base salary and equity, is listed at $174,300–$269,875 USD annually.
• Benefits include equity, employee stock purchase participation, medical, dental, vision, paid leave, disability and life insurance, and a 401(k) match.
