Alfa AI is advertising the position on behalf of Five Guys.
The Senior Restaurant Technology Architect will own technical architecture, standards, and operational resilience across the UK, France, Spain, and Germany.
This is a senior hands-on technical role, not a people-management position, reporting to the IT Director.
Core responsibilities
- Act as the technical authority for restaurant technology across the estate.
- Own the stability of POS, payments, restaurant networks, kiosks, digital menu boards, order-ready boards, CCTV, and integrations.
- Support major incidents, identify outage root causes, and drive permanent fixes.
- Review supplier configurations and technical designs.
- Define standards for new openings and technology rollouts.
- Ensure systems are documented and supportable before deployment.
Required experience
- Strong hands-on experience in restaurant, retail, or hospitality technology.
- Experience supporting large multi-site environments where uptime is commercially critical.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical dependencies and make decisions quickly during live operational issues.
