Job Description

The Senior Resident Engineer will oversee staff activities and efficiency for satisfactory execution of supervised project work.

The role will establish an organization providing staking, testing, and inspection to ensure construction follows plans and specifications.

The engineer will become familiar with plans, specifications, and amendments to administer the work effectively.

Job Duties

  • Monitor the client’s programme or progress report and ensure compliance with contract documents.
  • Inspect workmanship and materials and coordinate vertical and horizontal control checks.
  • Perform layout checks on line and grades and coordinate with other clients.
  • Maintain records on workforce, equipment, progress, safety, and related project activities.
  • Review and approve shop drawings and final materials submittals.
  • Execute and interpret soils and materials testing according to contract specifications.
  • Check and certify progress payments and review costs for variation and change orders.
  • Review additional compensation and time extension requests and prepare variation orders.
  • Prepare the monthly progress report, including safety monitoring and incident information.
  • Inspect safety conditions, report violations, and follow up on corrective action.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum of 20 years of experience.
  • Experience on similar large-scale highways, interchanges, and structures projects in the Middle East.
  • Experience in the UAE or Dubai is preferred.

Onboarding Requirement
