About the Role
KBR is seeking a Senior Reservoir Engineer for the Majnoon Field Development team in Abu Dhabi. The role involves reservoir modeling, field development planning, and project maturation.

Responsibilities
- Perform fit for purpose and detailed dynamic flow simulations in support of FDP execution strategy and project specific modeling
- Perform reservoirs, wells and field performance analyses, history matching and long term production forecasting
- Actively participate in WRFM field reviews to assess adequacy of FDP execution plan
- Create type curves and run projects and full field scenarios in PetroVR
- Run sector and full field models in Petrel RE/Eclipse/Intersect in history matching and forecasting mode
- Perform Integrated Production Systems modeling (PROSPER, GAP) for single projects or in support of FDP execution strategy
- Establish PVT register and fluid specifications for oil, gas, produced water and injection water
- Work closely with development team ensuring technical integration of input/output between subsurface, wells engineering, process and disciplines engineering
- Obtain technical assurance sign off by Petroleum Engineering Manager on own work
- Provide technical assurance on reservoir engineering work to WRFM and field studies teams
- Establish best practices, workflows, and standards across reservoir engineering discipline
- Guide wells, process and discipline engineers on reservoir modeling uncertainties and limitations
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or Reservoir Engineering (mandatory)
- PhD in Petroleum/Reservoir Engineering (preferred)
- Typically 15+ years in reservoir or petroleum engineering
- Minimum 5 years specifically in integrated (subsurface/surface) FDP studies and project maturation in the front end
- Experience in FDP execution strategy development or hydrocarbons maturation planning
- Experience in FEED support
- Demonstrated experience with major oil & gas reservoirs (carbonate/clastic, conventional/unconventional)
- Strong background in field development, simulation, and reserves evaluation
- Site experience in the middle east and any specific experience in the Iraqi southern Oil Fields would be advantageous
- Expertise in conventional reservoir simulation (e.g., Eclipse, Intersect)
- Experience in running PetroVR is required
- Proficiency in production optimization tools (e.g., Prosper, GAP, MBAL)

About The Field Development Team
- The Field Development team translates the Majnoon Field Development Plan into an executable plan.
- The team defines and matures capital projects to the Front End Engineering Design stage (FEED).
- The integrated field development team includes petroleum architect, conceptual engineers, discipline engineers, well engineers, reservoir engineers and project services specialists.
Role Purpose
- The Senior Reservoir Engineer is a key contributor in developing and updating the FDP execution plan document.
- The role requires full field reservoirs modeling and articulating development strategies for hydrocarbons and non hydrocarbons streams.
Key Responsibilities
