About the TeamThe Children's Health Queensland (CHQ) Otolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgery (OHNS)

is ambitious to drive clinical excellence in Paediatric Otolaryngology across Australia and New Zealand through research and innovation.

As the largest paediatric OHNS department in Australia and the only sub-specialty paediatric unit in Queensland, we treat over 150,000 children each year for a full range of paediatric OHNS conditions.

In this role you will deliver quality outcomes for children, young people and families (Leader of Self) in accordance with the Children's Health Queensland Leadership Excellence Framework and the Queensland Public Service and the CHQ values. Your contribution will include:Supporting the development of OHNS research projects by providing advice and support to the OHNS Department and other research collaborators within and external to CHQ.Working with CHQ, University of Queensland, and Passe Williams Foundation towards establishment of the funded Professorial Chair of Paediatric Otolaryngology position and the OHNS unit's research infrastructurePreparing correspondence, briefs, submissions and reports for review by the relevant boards within and external to Children's Health Queensland (e.g. Human Research Ethics Committee, Research Governance, institutional boards, funding bodies, etc).Proactively identifying potential issues or challenges that could affect a research project's delivery within the planned timelines and budget and collaborate with investigators to develop effective strategies to address them.About Children's Health Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CHQ HHS) Children's Health Queensland is a recognised leader in paediatric healthcare, teaching and research, delivering a full range of clinical services and training, tertiary and quaternary care and health promotion programs to children and young people from across Queensland and northern New South Wales.
