The Senior Research and Development Manager role at Baladna Food Industries is a full-time, on-site position based in Qatar.

The role is responsible for leading the design, development, and improvement of dairy and related food products, from concept through to commercialization.

Day-to-day tasks include managing R&D projects, supervising laboratory and pilot plant activities, coordinating product trials, and ensuring alignment with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.

The Senior R&D Manager collaborates with production, quality assurance, marketing, and supply chain teams to optimize formulations, improve shelf life, enhance sensory attributes, and respond to market trends.

The role also involves setting R&D priorities, mentoring team members, managing budgets, and preparing reports and presentations for senior leadership to support strategic decision-making and continuous innovation.

• Strong expertise in food science, dairy technology, or a related discipline, with experience in product formulation, process development, and scale-up.
• Demonstrated leadership and people management skills, including team supervision, coaching, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Proficiency in experimental design, data analysis, and research methodologies applicable to food and dairy R&D.
• Knowledge of quality assurance, food safety standards, and regulatory requirements in the dairy and FMCG sectors.
• Ability to manage multiple R&D projects, set priorities, and deliver results within defined timelines and budgets.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear technical documentation, reports, and presentations for diverse stakeholders.
• Experience working in large-scale farm, dairy processing, or food manufacturing environments is highly beneficial.
• Master’s degree or higher in Food Science, Dairy Technology, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, or a related field; significant relevant experience may be considered.
