Lead regional workplace health and safety programs for Amazon fulfillment operations.

Build trust with operations leaders and influence safety improvements through clear written and verbal communication.
Core responsibilities
- Act as the subject matter expert on local and regional regulations and company WHS policy.
- Oversee compliance, performance measurement, corrective action planning, recordkeeping, and safety reporting.
- Analyze incident trends and peer review results to identify risks and allocate resources.
- Audit workplace organization, associate behaviors, training quality, and WHS database entries.
- Manage and mentor WHS managers and associates across assigned fulfillment centers.
- Lead ergonomic and soft-tissue injury reduction initiatives with operations teams.
- Partner with corporate and regional safety personnel to apply global best practices.
Basic qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- At least 7 years of increasing responsibility in safety and/or environmental programs in a relevant operational environment.
- At least 7 years of increasing responsibility in people and performance management.
- Experience implementing lean principles and process improvement in an operational environment.
- Ability to travel up to 50%.
- Willingness to maintain an office within a designated regional site and relocate if necessary.
- Willingness to work varied shifts, including nights and weekends, as required.
- Adult First Aid, CPR, and AED certification, or ability to obtain it within three weeks of starting.
Preferred qualifications
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Certified Safety Professional certification preferred.
- Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic organization preferred.
- Experience managing safety operations with salaried and hourly staff preferred.
- Experience developing others into higher levels of responsibility preferred.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills preferred.
Physical and workplace requirements
- Spend time at fulfillment centers and support regional sites.
- Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
- Stand or walk for up to 12 hours during shifts and continuously use stairs where applicable.
- Work in environments with variable noise, temperatures, and weather conditions.
- Assist with emergency response and maintain effective care delivery during emergencies.
Compensation
- Annual base salary ranges from $140,800 to $246,400 USD depending on the listed location.
- Compensation may also include sign-on payments and restricted stock units.
