DHL is hiring a Senior Rate Management Specialist in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The role owns complex rate and costing processes across systems and regions.
The specialist leads improvements in data accuracy, automation, digitalization, contract governance, and tariff governance.
The role is an individual contributor without direct responsibility for leading others.
Responsibilities
- Manage customer contracts and country tariffs, including governance and updates in CW1 and RMS.
- Validate rate and cost accuracy, currencies, and exchange rates.
- Improve auto-rating and auto-costing processes and integrations with QuoteShop and other platforms.
- Coordinate with commercial, operational, global account, rates, billing, IT, and system support teams.
- Maintain expertise in ocean freight charge codes, calculators, USRs, and side charges.
- Support non-standard operational rates and cost impacts under DGF Service Standards.
- Drive automation, digitalization, and process optimization.
- Resolve system errors and lead root cause analysis across CW1, RMS, Cargosphere, and related systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent commercial experience or qualification.
- More than 2 years of experience in ocean freight operations, pricing, or rating.
- Fluent English and the respective local language.
- Expertise in ocean freight charge codes, calculators, USRs, and side charges.
- Ability to manage complex contracts and tariffs and resolve system errors.
