Role Overview
Senior QS Engineer responsible for quantity surveying, project cost management, contracts, procurement, risk, and stakeholder financial communication.
The role supports construction projects across pre-construction, tender, post-construction, and delivery stages.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare construction project cost estimates, develop budgets, monitor costs, and provide financial forecasts.
- Review, draft, negotiate, and monitor contracts with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
- Prepare variations, claims, contractual reports, and settlement negotiations.
- Manage tendering, supplier and subcontractor selection, procurement, and contract awards.
- Track project costs, identify savings, and address deviations and potential overruns.
- Identify financial and contractual risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Prepare cost reports, financial statements, progress updates, and project records.
- Lead and mentor junior quantity surveyors and oversee QS documentation quality.
- Liaise with clients, project managers, and stakeholders on cost matters and financial issues.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5–10 years of experience in quantity surveying or related construction management.
