Position Overview
This is a full-time Senior QA Test Engineer – Automation position based in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India.
The role focuses on test automation, continuous testing, API validation, database verification, defect management, and quality improvement.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Java, Selenium WebDriver, and TestNG or JUnit.
- Maintain automation frameworks supporting CI/CD and automated smoke and regression suites.
- Refine requirements with Product Owners and Business Analysts and provide QA input.
- Design and document test cases, scenarios, and strategies for functional, regression, and end-to-end testing.
- Review test design, coverage, and automation scripts with stakeholders.
- Identify coverage gaps, perform defect root cause analysis, and improve test scenarios.
- Test RESTful and SOAP APIs using Postman and RestAssured.
- Use SQL joins and subqueries to validate test results against databases.
- Analyze test results using quality metrics and KPIs.
- Manage defects with Azure DevOps or JIRA.
- Collaborate with QA, development, and product teams and perform manual testing when needed.
- Work in an Agile/Scrum environment with continuous testing practices.
