Responsibilities
- Lead complex regeneration and development projects through pre construction and delivery phases
- Support projects through planning, funding, procurement, and delivery gateways
- Drive performance across multidisciplinary consultant teams
- Manage programme, cost, risk, and quality objectives
- Hold consultants and contractors accountable for delivery outcomes
- Identify and mitigate project risks, assumptions, and critical dependencies
- Prepare governance papers, project updates, and board level reporting
- Build strong relationships with local authorities, investors, funding bodies, and key stakeholders
Requirements
- Experience delivering complex development, regeneration, or major project schemes typically valued between £20m and £150m+
- Strong understanding of development, construction, and project delivery
- Experience working alongside public sector partners and funding organisations
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Strong commercial awareness and decision making capability
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and build trusted relationships

Role Overview

- Support the delivery of a portfolio of strategically important projects across the North East.
- Opportunity to play a key role in major mixed use developments in Durham, Newcastle, Gateshead and Sunderland.
The Role
- Lead complex regeneration and development projects through pre construction and delivery phases.
- Support projects through planning, funding, procurement and delivery gateways.
- Drive performance across multidisciplinary consultant teams.
- Manage programme, cost, risk and quality objectives.
- Hold consultants and contractors accountable for delivery outcomes.

About You
- Experience delivering complex development, regeneration or major project schemes.
- Comfortable operating within highly visible stakeholder environments.
- Suitable backgrounds: Senior Project Manager, Development Manager or Project Director within a major developer; Associate Director or Director within a leading project management consultancy; Pre Construction Director, Regional Director or senior operational leader from a major contractor.
- Experience delivering projects typically valued between £20m and £150m+.
- Strong understanding of development, construction and project delivery.
- Experience working alongside public sector partners and funding organisations.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and decision making capability.
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and build trusted relationships.
