Role description:
Arcadis is seeking an accomplished Senior Project Manager - Drinking Water to join our growing Resilience Water team in Columbus, Ohio.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a client-focused leader who is passionate about delivering critical water infrastructure projects that improve communities and protect public health.
In this role, you will lead some of the Midwest's most complex and impactful drinking water programs, working alongside industry-recognized technical experts and project delivery teams.
You'll have the opportunity to manage projects from planning through construction, build trusted client relationships, influence strategic growth initiatives, and play a key role in developing the next generation of water professionals.

Role accountabilities:
As a Senior Project Manager within Arcadis' Resilience Water Business Line, you will play a key role in delivering critical drinking water infrastructure projects that improve communities and protect public health.
This position offers the opportunity to lead complex programs, build trusted client relationships, collaborate with industry-leading technical experts, and help grow one of the region's premier drinking water practices while mentoring the next generation of water professionals.
- Lead the successful delivery of drinking water projects, including treatment plants, transmission and distribution systems, pump stations, storage facilities, and related infrastructure.
- Manage all aspects of project execution, including scope, budget, schedule, quality, staffing, risk management, and client satisfaction.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to municipal clients, developing strong relationships and identifying opportunities to support their long-term water infrastructure goals.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and nationally recognized technical experts to deliver innovative, sustainable, and resilient water solutions.
- Support business development and strategic growth initiatives through client engagement, proposal development, project pursuits, and industry involvement.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and professional development to engineers and project team members while fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on technical excellence.
Travel of approximately 20-25% may be required to support client meetings, workshops, facility assessments, field investigations, conferences, and project delivery activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of progressive experience delivering drinking water infrastructure projects within the consulting engineering industry
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain licensure through reciprocity
Preferred Qualifications
- Established relationships with municipal drinking water clients in Ohio or the broader Midwest region
- Experience managing water treatment plant planning, design, and construction projects

We offer nine paid holidays and 20 days PTO that accrue per year.
The salary range for this position is $122,760 - $184,140.
Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project, and location.
