Role Description
- This part time hybrid role for a Senior Project Manager at Facultad de Ciencias Económicas Universidad Nacional de Colombia is based in Abu Dhabi, with a mix of on site and work from home responsibilities.
- The Senior Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, monitoring, and completion of academic, research, and administrative projects, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Define project objectives, develop detailed project plans, coordinate with faculty, administrative staff, and external partners, and manage resources and timelines.
- Track progress, identify risks, implement corrective actions, and prepare clear status reports and presentations for stakeholders.
- Lead project meetings, facilitate decision making, and support continuous improvement of project management processes within the institution.
Qualifications
- Strong project management skills, including Project Management experience and the ability to coordinate complex initiatives across multiple stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Expeditor and Expediting activities to ensure timely delivery of project materials, approvals, and documentation.
- Experience in Inspection processes to verify quality, compliance, and adherence to institutional and regulatory standards.
- Knowledge of Logistics Management to coordinate resources, schedules, and deliveries across on site and remote environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Management, or a related field; a master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is an advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross functional teams, manage stakeholder expectations, and communicate effectively in English (spoken and written); additional language skills are a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational abilities, with attention to detail and a focus on measurable outcomes.
- Experience working in academic, research, or public sector environments, and comfort operating in a multicultural, gender inclusive setting.
