Senior Project Manager

The Opportunity

Your Role

• Lead complex, high-value projects from strategy and procurement through construction and handover.
• Act as a senior client advisor and provide strategic guidance to clients.
• Own programme, cost, risk, and change management with robust governance.
• Lead multidisciplinary consultant and contractor teams and chair senior project meetings.
• Administer JCT or NEC contracts and oversee procurement strategies.
• Manage fee proposals, forecasting, project financials, and commercial performance.
• Drive performance, resolve challenges, support account growth, and mentor Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers.

Essential Qualifications

• Significant built-environment project management experience is required.
• Candidates need a track record delivering complex or high-value building projects from inception to completion.
• Strong leadership experience managing teams, consultants, and stakeholders is required.
• A confident client-facing advisory approach and the ability to influence decisions are required.
• In-depth knowledge of project governance, risk management, and delivery frameworks is required.
• Experience administering JCT and/or NEC contracts is required.
• Chartered or equivalent status with RICS, APM, CIOB, or another recognised professional body is required.
• Strong commercial acumen, including financial management and reporting, is required.

Desirable Qualifications

• Public- and private-sector client experience is desirable.
• Business development, bid writing, and account growth experience are desirable.
• Mentoring team members through professional accreditation or chartership is desirable.
• Awareness of construction market trends, procurement strategies, and industry best practice is desirable.
