We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Engineer SMP to join the K2 Team in Kwinana! In this role, you will effectively Provide senior project engineering leadership for Structural, Mechanical and Piping (SMP) works on the K2 Project, ensuring safe, compliant and efficient execution in accordance with approved designs, schedules and construction methodologies.
Clough is delivering the design and construction of the Kwinana Gas Power Generation 2 project (K2), a new 220 MW gas fired power station to be built in Kwinana, south of Perth. K2 will deliver fast start, flexible generation to provide critical backup capacity that supports the increasing application of renewable energy across Western Australia.

Your focus will include:
Lead day‑to‑day SMP engineering support to construction activities, ensuring works are executed in accordance with IFC documentation, specifications and approved work packs.

Coordinate SMP construction sequencing, work fronts and interfaces with civil, electrical, I&C and commissioning activities.
Manage technical interfaces with SMP subcontractors, including review of shop drawings, ITPs, work methods and technical queries.
Support resolution of site RFIs, non‑conformances and field changes, coordinating with engineering and construction teams through controlled processes.
Monitor SMP construction progress, productivity and quality performance, identifying risks and implementing corrective actions as required.
Coordinate materials availability, fabrication status and delivery sequencing in conjunction with Supply Chain and Materials teams.
Support inspections, testing, mechanical completion, punch list clearance and handover of SMP systems to commissioning.
Provide accurate SMP progress, constraint and forecast reporting to the Construction Manager.
What you will bring to the team:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
Minimum 8–10 years’ experience in SMP project engineering roles on major EPC or D&C projects, including site‑based delivery of mechanical, piping and structural scopes in power generation or heavy industrial environments.
Exceptional communication and influencing skills with internal and external stakeholders
Collaborative approach and ability to drive project outcomes
