Kent is looking for a Senior Project Engineer PMO to be based in the UAE. With 10+ years experience along with experience of MS Power Apps / Power BI / AI.
Skills and Responsibilities
- Responsibilities:
- Reporting into the PMO Operations Director, Senior Project Engineer PMO, will support the global PMO team to ensure Kent project governance and assurance processes are in place and that projects are following the ‘Kent way’ of delivering projects.
This role will have the following key responsibilities
- Support the development of the suite of standard project management procedures, processes, systems and tools and the roll out to the project organization • Support / lead the development and implementation of PMO digital transformation projects and corporate PMO projects to support successful project execution. Implement This involves coordinating across PMO and project stakeholders to drive adoption and share insights. • Support the Project Criticality process by helping confirm criticality classification at award and ensuring the correct level of PMO oversight and assurance is triggered for each project. • Support and coordinate Kent project delivery assurance reviews (PDA), assisting the PDA task force team with the reviews, and supporting projects to address improvement areas • Support delivery of Kent Start-Up process, this involves working closely with the project teams to populate and maintain the Start-Up tool, verify readiness across governance, scope, systems, plans, contracts and risk. • Coordinate delivery of the Project Excellence at Kent (PEAK) program in liaison with PMO and regional leaders and participants • Assist in the development and implementation of a fit-for-purpose competency management system for operations staff • Contribute to the PMO community of practice throughout Kent operations to share lessons learned, best practices and provide support where needed • Support the operations and tendering teams in the preparation of technical deliverables write ups, execution plans, fact sheets and other critical deliverables as required by the project. • Demonstrate all company’s core value principles, communications, actions, and conveyances
- In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development.
Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience
- Knowledge/ Qualification/ Training/ Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Project Management • PMI / PMP Certification desirable Communication: • Excellent command of the English language in both oral and written communication and skills. Behavior/ Core Competencies:
- 10+ years’ industrial experience, preferable at least 5 years in project engineering • MS Office Proficient • MS Power Apps / Power BI / AI experience • Middle East experience is desirable • Able to self-management and delivery to agreed project milestones • Good relationship skills, able to establish solid working relationships with stakeholders across all regions and functions within the organization • Collaborative team player
