Senior Project Engineer - PMO

About the role

Key responsibilities

• Support development and rollout of standard project management procedures, processes, systems, and tools.
• Support or lead PMO digital transformation and corporate PMO projects and coordinate stakeholder adoption.
• Support project criticality classification and ensure the correct level of PMO oversight and assurance.
• Coordinate project delivery assurance reviews and help projects address improvement areas.
• Support the Kent Start-Up process by verifying readiness across governance, scope, systems, plans, contracts, and risk.
• Coordinate the Project Excellence at Kent program with PMO and regional leaders.
• Assist with a competency management system for operations staff.
• Contribute lessons learned and best practices to the PMO community of practice.
• Support technical write-ups, execution plans, fact sheets, and other deliverables for operations and tendering teams.
• Observe company, client, and host-country HSSEQ requirements.

Education and experience

• A bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Project Management is required.
• The role requires 10+ years of industrial experience.
• At least 5 years of project engineering experience is preferred.
• PMI or PMP certification is desirable.
• Middle East experience is desirable.

Knowledge and competencies

• Experience with MS Power Apps, Power BI, and AI is required.
• Proficiency in MS Office is required.
• Excellent written and spoken English is required.
• Ability to self-manage and deliver to agreed project milestones is required.
• Strong relationship skills and stakeholder collaboration are required.

• The role is based in Dubai, UAE.
• Relocation is not required.
• Travel may be required.
