Role Overview
Senior Project Controls Engineer supporting defence and other highly regulated projects and programmes.
The role leads project controls teams on medium-risk, medium-complexity and medium-value work or contributes to larger, higher-risk programmes.
Responsibilities
- Define scope, assumptions, exclusions, interfaces and dependencies and establish Work Breakdown Structures.
- Establish Performance Measurement Baselines and manage change control.
- Integrate scope, cost, risk and schedule information and analyse supplier performance data.
- Use Earned Value Management and other performance data to support delivery decisions.
- Produce cost and cash estimates to complete and estimates at complete with Finance.
- Manage project risks and support resource deployment against resource-loaded schedules.
- Establish governance, assure output quality and support recovery planning.
- Communicate delivery performance, influence stakeholders, mentor team members and promote process improvement.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven project delivery experience in defence or another highly regulated sector.
- Project controls experience across a significant proportion of the project lifecycle.
- Experience in at least two disciplines: planning and scheduling, cost estimation, cost control, risk management or performance reporting.
