Role overview
Senior Project Controls Engineer role supporting complex defence and infrastructure projects and programmes.
The role leads or contributes to cross-discipline Project Controls teams and supports delivery across the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Define scope and coordinate its decomposition into a Work Breakdown Structure.
- Establish the Performance Measurement Baseline and manage change control.
- Integrate scope, cost, risk and schedule information and analyse supplier performance.
- Use Earned Value Management and other performance data to inform delivery decisions.
- Manage project risk, governance, quality assurance and delivery recovery planning.
- Support resource deployment, stakeholder communication and Finance forecasting.
- Mentor and coach team members and promote learning and process improvement.
Requirements
- Proven delivery experience in defence, infrastructure or another highly regulated sector.
- Project Controls experience across a significant proportion of the project lifecycle.
- Experience applying at least two Project Controls disciplines from planning, cost, risk and performance reporting.
- Relevant undergraduate degree or suitable equivalent qualifications and experience.
- Membership of a relevant professional body, such as APM or PMI.
