Project Overview
Senior Project Associate position under the ISRO RESPOND project on ionospheric plasma irregularities.
The two-year project is a collaboration between Krea University and Physical Research Laboratory.
The primary work location is the Krea University campus in Sri City.
Research Responsibilities
- Develop low-cost imagers to observe ionospheric irregularity structures in faint oxygen airglow lines.
- Develop machine learning-based automatic image processing and data analysis algorithms.
- Gather and analyze datasets related to ionospheric plasma irregularities.
- Co-study results using GNSS TEC measurements from Physical Research Laboratory and Krea University.
- Support overall administrative and research activities as required.
Essential Qualifications
- One qualification pathway is required: a relevant bachelor's or master's degree with the specified research experience, or a relevant Ph.D.
- Relevant disciplines include computer science, data science, physics, atmospheric science, meteorology, space physics, geophysics, space science and technology, and instrumentation.
- Knowledge of machine learning and deep learning methods is required.
- Knowledge of fundamental physics and a research orientation are required.
