Role Overview

POSITION SUMMARY
Work within the Office of the Medical Director and in collaboration with the Office of the Chief, Field Operations, Dispatch Operations, and other relevant offices within the Boston Public Health Commission to sustain existing EMS programs, advance those under development, and initiate new opportunities to further prehospital emergency medical care in the City of Boston. This role requires strong administrative, analytical, organization, and communication skills to manage complex projects, build partnerships, ensure program quality, and promote health equity across the City of Boston.
DUTIES
- Lead the administrative duties associated with Boston EMS’ mobile integrated healthcare emergency department avoidance (MIH EDA) programs and other special projects as defined by the Office of the Medical Director, including telehealth, treatment-in-place, and alternative destination transport programs to align patients experiencing behavioral health and substance use disorder emergencies with appropriate points of care.
