Position Summary
Set strategy and optimize Walmart Canada’s Catalogue products and capabilities across the omni-channel business.
Bridge business and technology, prioritize work, direct execution, and lead cross-technology projects.
Support the lifecycle of product and item data, including attributes, content, taxonomy, data quality, systems, and integrations.
Product Delivery
- Develop and maintain product roadmaps and backlogs using clear business cases to prioritize capabilities.
- Draft epics and stories, prioritize the backlog, and participate in agile development.
- Promote defect fixes, address recurring support problems, and improve efficiency across supported systems.
- Work with Merchandising, eCommerce, Operations, Engineering, Data, and global Product teams to deliver scalable solutions.
Stakeholder and Domain Leadership
- Provide information sharing, listening sessions, training, documentation, and strategic vision presentations.
- Navigate complex decisions and influence product strategy with internal and external partners.
- Monitor omni-channel industry trends and provide recommendations aligned with business objectives.
- Act as a subject matter expert on catalogue systems and data flows across the Walmart ecosystem.
Required Qualifications
- 6–8 years of Product Manager or Product Owner experience in eCommerce, CPG, Marketplace, or another data-intensive digital business.
- Understanding of retail and eCommerce ecosystems and the role of product data across customer, merchant, supplier, fulfilment, and operational experiences.
- Business, product, and technical acumen, including P&L awareness, roadmap delivery, technical architecture, software development practices, and data principles.
- Experience leading local and global project teams through multiple product lifecycles.
- Ability to solve complex product problems, navigate platform environments, and balance local, enterprise, and global strategies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Retail product management experience is an asset.
- Experience with Catalogue, Product Information Management, item or product setup, master data, content management, taxonomy, or data quality platforms is a strong asset.
Compensation
- The stated pay range is $91,900 to $126,390, with pay determined based on relevant experience.
