Key skills for this role
This role owns a product area end to end. Where the product marketer is the market lens, you are the person accountable for what we build, how it works, and whether it ships and succeeds.
You lead a cross-functional team of engineers, designers, and applied AI specialists to turn strategy into a product members rely on. You own the roadmap for your area, the decisions inside it, and the outcomes it produces.
You work at the center of the product organization, translating a clear point of view into shipped work that moves MINERVA and the COGENT architecture forward through each GR/GA milestone.
In an AI market where capabilities can be copied in weeks, the advantage goes to teams that decide well and ship fast. Someone has to hold the point of view, make the calls, and keep a team building the right thing.
Collective intelligence is hard product work: reasoning over messy knowledge, earning member trust, and fitting into how communities already operate. It needs an owner who can hold both the ambition and the details.
The Senior Product Manager is that owner. You set direction for your area, make the hard prioritization calls, and are accountable for whether the product succeeds with the people it serves.
Own the strategy and roadmap for your product area, grounded in member needs, market evidence, and company goals.

Own trade-offs on scope, quality, and time, and make them explicit.
Ship reliably, and hold a clear bar for what launch-ready means.
Make sound calls about where AI helps, where it fails, and how to design for its limits.
Design for trust: provenance, guardrails, and honest handling of uncertainty in what the platform tells members.

Keep member value and trust at the center of every decision.
Define the outcomes your area is accountable for, and measure them honestly.

Partner with the product marketer as the market lens, and with go-to-market on launch readiness.
Advance the underlying platform capability your area depends on, in partnership with platform and architecture teams.
Balance customer-facing value with the durable investments MINERVA and COGENT need.
Help steer the platform through GR and GA milestones with a clear view of what each unlocks.
AI is embedded in how you work, from discovery through delivery. You use AI to synthesize research, draft definitions, analyze signals, and explore options, then apply the judgment that turns those outputs into sound product decisions.
The standard is human in partnership: AI accelerates the work, you own the judgment, the interpretation, and the call. The people who create the most value here are not the ones producing the most output. They are the ones turning evidence into clear, durable decisions.
To keep the boundary clear:
This is not a product marketing role. You partner with the market lens, but you own delivery, the roadmap, and the outcomes of your area.
This is not a project-management-only role. You own strategy and hard calls, not just coordination and timelines.
This is not an engineering management role. You lead the product direction, while engineering leadership owns the team and craft.
This is not a feature-factory role. You are accountable for outcomes and member trust, not a count of shipped features.
We measure this role on outcomes the team can see:
Right bets, shipped. Your area builds the right thing more often, and it ships.
Member value. Members reach value faster, and adoption in your area grows over time.
A clear point of view. Your team shares a direction that holds up under pressure.
Trustworthy AI. The product handles uncertainty honestly, and members trust what it tells them.
Fast learning. The distance from signal to decision keeps getting shorter in your area.
Durable platform. Your work advances MINERVA and COGENT, not just the surface.
You lead with the member and name the real problem before the solution.
You hold a clear, bold point of view and defend it with evidence.
You make hard calls, own them, and keep the team moving.
You treat trust and honesty about AI’s limits as first-order.
You communicate clearly and bring people with you.
You treat learning as the job and change course without ego.
Product analytics and experimentation platforms.
Roadmapping, discovery, and collaboration tools.
Familiarity with LLM, retrieval, vector, and graph systems at a working level.
SQL for pulling and reasoning about product data.
Design and prototyping tools for collaborating with design.
Issue tracking and delivery tooling.
Familiarity with Sapience AI’s MINERVA platform and COGENT architecture (trained on the job).
Prior senior product management at a software or AI company.
A track record of owning a product area and its outcomes.
Experience shipping AI-driven products to real audiences.
Experience in trust-sensitive or regulated domains is a plus.
You work most closely with Engineering, Product Design, Applied AI, and Product Operations, and you partner tightly with Product Marketing as the market lens. You align with go-to-market teams on launch readiness while they own the campaigns and sales motion downstream.
We review every application, and we encourage you to apply even if you do not match every line above. Research shows that talented people, especially those from underrepresented communities, often hold back when they do not meet every qualification. If that is the only thing holding you back, apply anyway.
