The role focuses on complex SaaS platforms, marketplace applications, dashboards, workflows, portals, mobile apps, and multi-user systems.
The designer will simplify complex workflows, improve usability, create scalable design systems, and prepare the platform for commercial launch.
The role requires product thinking across user flows, permissions, edge cases, responsive layouts, information hierarchy, and developer handoff.
Key Responsibilities
- Design user-friendly web and mobile experiences for a complex SaaS and marketplace-style platform.
- Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes, high-fidelity designs, and developer-ready UI specifications.
- Design workflows for multiple user types, including property owners, tenants, vendors, service providers, partners, and administrators.
- Translate complex business processes into simple product experiences.
- Work with leadership and engineering on clear, usable, buildable designs.
- Improve information architecture, navigation, dashboards, forms, portals, workflows, and mobile experiences.
- Create scalable design systems, reusable components, UI patterns, and style standards.
- Identify gaps, edge cases, confusing flows, and simplification opportunities.
- Collaborate with developers and provide design QA feedback before release.
- Use and validate AI-assisted design outputs responsibly.
- Support commercial launch readiness and long-term platform growth.
Required Experience
- At least six years of UX/UI, product design, or related digital product design experience.
- Experience designing complex SaaS, marketplace, CRM, workflow, fintech, operational dashboard, or other multi-role software products.
- Strong experience designing web and mobile product experiences.
- Strong Figma skills including components, Auto Layout, variants, design systems, prototyping, and developer handoff.
- Experience designing dashboards, forms, tables, workflows, portals, profiles, settings, notifications, and role-based experiences.
- Experience working directly with engineers and product stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of user flows, information architecture, interaction design, usability, visual hierarchy, responsive design, and design systems.
- Experience using AI tools for design work, research synthesis, UX writing, wireframing, prototyping, or documentation.
- Ability to explain design decisions using user needs, business goals, and technical feasibility.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce polished, developer-ready designs.
- Strong written and spoken English.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Strongly Preferred Experience
- Experience designing marketplace platforms or multi-sided products.
- Experience with property technology, real estate, maintenance, field-service, booking, fintech, CRM, or enterprise workflow software.
- Experience designing products with multiple user types and role-based permissions.
- Experience designing payment, transaction, vendor, booking, service-request, or dashboard workflows.
- Experience designing AI-powered product features or AI-assisted workflows.
- Experience improving an existing product rather than designing only from scratch.
- Experience working in startups or fast-moving product environments.
- Experience with usability testing, product analytics, user research, or customer feedback loops.
- Experience creating design systems from the ground up.
AI-Assisted Design Expectations
- Use AI as a productivity tool for UX research organization, user-flow exploration, wireframe ideation, interface-copy options, and requirements organization.
- Use AI for edge-case discovery, design-system documentation, competitive research summaries, prototype concepts, usability-test summaries, and design iteration.
- Review and validate AI-assisted work using user needs, product logic, business goals, usability, accessibility, and technical feasibility.
Success Measures
The platform becomes easier to understand and use, with clearer core workflows and user journeys.
Web and mobile experiences become more consistent, polished, scalable, and commercially ready.
Developers receive complete, buildable design specifications and users complete tasks with less confusion.
AI is used responsibly to improve design speed, quality, and documentation.
Compensation
- The source describes a compensation range of CAD $24,000–$36,000 annually.
- Final compensation depends on experience, product-design depth, SaaS and marketplace experience, AI-assisted workflow capability, communication skills, and independent working ability.
