Role Overview
Lead the design, development, testing, and optimization of new and existing products.
Transform customer and business requirements into reliable, cost-effective, and manufacturable solutions.
Work with engineering, manufacturing, quality, procurement, suppliers, and business teams throughout the product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead product development from concept through production and commercialization.
- Develop detailed designs, specifications, drawings, models, calculations, simulations, and technical documentation.
- Create and optimize 3D CAD models, assemblies, engineering drawings, and product specifications.
- Select materials, components, manufacturing processes, and design solutions.
- Develop prototypes and coordinate testing, validation, and product qualification.
- Analyze performance, weaknesses, defects, reliability issues, and failures, then implement improvements and corrective actions.
- Lead design reviews, technical evaluations, engineering changes, and product lifecycle documentation.
- Support DFM, DFA, design-for-cost, design-for-reliability, value engineering, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work with suppliers and procurement to evaluate components, materials, manufacturing capabilities, and specifications.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company specifications.
