Job Purpose And Objective
ADSS is a successful retail and institutional brokerage based in Abu Dhabi.

The objective is for ADSS to become a dynamic and innovative, trusted market leader as measured by feedback from clients, talent, shareholders and competitors.
The Senior Manager, Procurement is responsible for defining and executing enterprise-wide sourcing strategies, ensuring the timely, cost-effective, and strategic acquisition of critical goods and services.
The successful candidate will be instrumental in embedding best-in-class governance, leveraging advanced analytics for spend optimization, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and strategic sourcing across the enterprise.
This role requires a strong leader capable of managing complex categories, mentoring team members, and influencing senior stakeholders to achieve superior commercial outcomes.
Category & Strategy
- Define multi‑year sourcing strategies for complex, high‑value categories; align with enterprise objectives and market dynamics.
- Communicate procurement strategies and policies to team members and stakeholders; ensure compliance mandates are embedded.
Commercial & Contracts
- Lead high‑stakes negotiations (contracts, direct orders, leases) to secure optimal commercial terms and SLAs.
- Establish best‑practice contract lifecycle management, including KPIs, service levels, governance, and quarterly business reviews.
Supplier & Market Management
- Serve as senior point of escalation for strategic suppliers; expand and diversify supply base through strategic sourcing.
- Oversee market intelligence to identify cost‑saving opportunities and innovation pathways.
Digital, PO & Systems
- Champion e‑procurement and analytics (e.g., Oracle) for transparent, data‑driven decisions.
- Own governance of the PO system on Oracle: change orders, open‑PO aging reviews, exception handling, and periodic reporting.
- Sponsor end‑user enablement - ensure training and guidance on Oracle processes across business functions.
AP & Cash‑Flow Alignment
- Oversee AP performance governance: invoice acknowledgement, on time payments, supplier inquiries, and cash‑flow awareness.
- Remove bottlenecks to protect supplier relationships and expedite legitimate project timelines.
Risk, Compliance & Ethics
- Operate a proactive risk framework (supply continuity, compliance, ethical sourcing, and data integrity).
- Ensure strict adherence to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and international best practices.
Performance & Reporting
- Own procurement KPIs and scorecards (savings, TCO, cycle time, on‑time payment %, open‑PO aging, contract coverage, supplier performance).
- Provide regular executive reporting and insights to the COO/CFO and leadership forums.
Leadership & Change
- Lead, coach, and develop procurement professionals; set a high‑performance, client‑centric culture.
- Drive continuous improvement to simplify processes and accelerate turnaround times.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field is required. A Master's degree (e.g., MBA) is highly desirable.
Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management, with at least 4 years in a senior managerial or leadership capacity. Experience in a large, complex, or multinational organization is preferred.
- Professional certification such as CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) or CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) is mandatory.
Skills And Competencies
- Expert knowledge of global procurement best practices, category management, contract law, and advanced negotiation techniques. Deep understanding of digital procurement platforms (Oracle).
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team. Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills at the executive level.
- Superior analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities. High level of integrity, ethical conduct, and commercial judgment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex commercial data and strategies clearly and persuasively.
- Demonstrated experience in driving organizational change and embedding new processes and technologies.
