Role overview
The role has end-to-end responsibility for technical delivery of structural steel and RCC foundation projects.
The engineer is expected to work independently from design through fabrication, erection, and final technical closure.
Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis, design calculations, drawings, estimation, fabrication support, site coordination, and quality control.
- Design steel members, connections, base plates, anchor bolts, and RCC foundations to applicable codes and project specifications.
- Check bearing, uplift, overturning, sliding, stability, deflection, and buckling.
- Prepare BBS, structural steel weight calculations, BOQs, material quantities, and fabrication allowances.
- Prepare, check, and finalize GA, structural, foundation, and fabrication or shop drawings.
- Maintain revision control and secure technical approval before drawing issue.
- Guide fabrication and erection teams on dimensions, welding, bolting, alignment, and tolerances.
- Provide site engineering support and coordinate inspections, NCRs, and corrective actions with QA/QC.
Requirements
- AutoCAD, advanced Excel, and STAAD.Pro proficiency is essential.
- Knowledge of Tekla, SAFE, ETABS, or STAAD Foundation is preferred.
- Experience in structural steel fabrication, highway or signage structures, wind-load design, and RCC foundations is desirable.
- The ideal candidate can independently manage projects through design, fabrication, erection, and technical closure.
Compensation
- Pay is ₹25,000–₹50,000 per month.
