Job Description
Manage end-to-end procurement of materials, services, and subcontractors for residential, commercial, and interior projects.
The role focuses on cost savings, vendor management, timely delivery, and quality control.
Procurement Responsibilities
- Prepare BOQs based on drawings and obtain material indents from project and site teams.
- Float RFQs, compare quotations, and negotiate rates with vendors.
- Issue purchase orders and follow up for timely delivery and quality.
- Handle procurement for civil, MEP, finishes, interiors, tools, and consumables.
- Identify and develop new vendors for cost optimization.
- Maintain vendor databases with pricing, lead time, and quality ratings.
- Negotiate contracts and payment terms and ensure compliance.
- Work with Planning and Accounts teams to control project costs.
- Coordinate with Site Engineers on material scheduling according to project plans.
- Ensure proper GRNs, invoices, delivery challans, and related documentation.
- Handle claims, returns, and shortage issues.
Must-Have Skills
- BOQ reading, AutoCAD drawing understanding, and construction material knowledge are required.
- Rate negotiation and contract negotiation skills are required.
