Procurement
- Manage the complete procurement process for construction materials, equipment, and subcontract works.
- Source and evaluate suppliers and subcontractors based on price, quality, technical compliance, delivery, and commercial terms.
- Obtain and compare quotations and prepare detailed comparative statements for management approval.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other commercial conditions.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders, local purchase orders, and subcontract agreements.
- Monitor material deliveries and ensure procurement aligns with project requirements and schedules.
- Develop and maintain a reliable supplier and subcontractor database.
- Coordinate procurement requirements with project managers, site engineers, planning engineers, and the accounts department.
- Follow up on pending materials, long-lead items, and subcontract works to avoid project delays.
Quantity Surveying
- Review drawings, specifications, bills of quantities, and contract documents.
- Prepare quantity take-offs and material quantity requirements from drawings.
- Prepare estimates, cost plans, and pricing for construction works.
- Prepare and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
- Prepare variation orders, variation claims, and supporting documents.
- Monitor project costs, commitments, and actual expenditures.
- Prepare interim payment applications and evaluate subcontractor payment claims.
- Verify site measurements and quantities for payment certification.
- Assist with final accounts and settlement of subcontractor accounts.
Requirements
- Senior-level experience in construction procurement and quantity surveying responsibilities.
- Ability to review drawings, specifications, bills of quantities, and contract documents.
- Ability to prepare quantity take-offs, estimates, cost plans, and construction pricing.
- Experience evaluating supplier and subcontractor quotations and commercial terms.
- Experience preparing variation orders, variation claims, and supporting documentation.
- Experience monitoring project costs, commitments, and actual expenditures.
- Experience preparing interim payment applications and evaluating subcontractor payment claims.
- Ability to verify site measurements and quantities for payment certification.
- Experience assisting with final accounts and subcontractor account settlements.
