Role Description
The Senior Procurement Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Riyadh.
The role manages end-to-end procurement for engineering and construction-related materials, equipment, and services.
The role collaborates with engineering, projects, finance, and logistics teams to support specifications, budgets, and project schedules.
Core Responsibilities
- Source and evaluate suppliers, prepare and review RFQs, negotiate commercial and technical terms, and issue purchase orders.
- Conduct market analysis, cost and value comparisons, and maintain supplier databases and performance records.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
- Support process improvement and procurement strategies, and guide junior team members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Strong supplier evaluation and RFQ preparation skills.
- Experience managing purchase orders, including drafting, reviewing, and tracking orders.
- Analytical skills covering pricing, quality, delivery performance, and total cost of ownership.
- Effective communication skills for stakeholder coordination, supplier negotiation, and documentation.
- Experience in procurement within construction, MEP, or industrial projects.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract terms, and relevant standards.
- Proficiency in ERP or procurement management systems.
- CPSM or CIPS certification is an advantage.
- Experience in Saudi Arabia or the wider GCC region is preferred.
