Responsibilities
- Manage end to end procurement activities for engineering and construction materials, equipment, and services
- Review technical specifications and BOQs, prepare RFQs, analyze quotations, negotiate commercial and contractual terms
- Issue purchase orders in line with company policies
- Coordinate with engineering, project management, site teams, and suppliers to clarify requirements and monitor deliveries
- Evaluate vendor performance and maintain accurate procurement records
- Optimize inventory levels and support budget planning and cost control initiatives
- Contribute to improving procurement processes and identifying alternative materials or suppliers
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or related) or Supply Chain/Procurement
- Proven experience in procurement or supply chain within construction, infrastructure, or industrial projects
- Strong understanding of technical specifications, drawings, and standards for engineering materials
- Demonstrated ability to manage full procurement cycle
- Proficiency with ERP or procurement software and MS Office tools
- Solid analytical, cost comparison, and problem solving skills
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
- Organizational skills to manage multiple RFQs, orders, and deadlines
- Knowledge of local and international procurement regulations and commercial terms

Role Description
- Manage end to end procurement activities for engineering and construction materials, equipment, and services, ensuring timely and cost effective sourcing.
- Review technical specifications and BOQs, prepare RFQs, analyze quotations, negotiate commercial and contractual terms, and issue purchase orders in line with company policies.
- Coordinate with engineering, project management, site teams, and suppliers to clarify requirements, monitor deliveries, and resolve supply issues.
- Evaluate vendor performance, maintain accurate procurement records, optimize inventory levels, and support budget planning and cost control initiatives.
- Contribute to improving procurement processes, identifying alternative materials or suppliers, and ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Relevant academic background, such as a bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or related) or Supply Chain/Procurement, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in procurement or supply chain within construction, infrastructure, or industrial projects, ideally in the Gulf region or similar markets.
- Strong understanding of technical specifications, drawings, and standards for engineering materials, equipment, and systems.
- Demonstrated ability to manage the full procurement cycle, including sourcing, bid evaluation, negotiation, contract finalization, and supplier follow up.
- Proficiency with ERP or procurement software, MS Office tools, and structured documentation and reporting practices.
- Solid analytical, cost comparison, and problem solving skills, with attention to detail and a focus on value and risk management.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external suppliers.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple RFQs, orders, and deadlines in a fast paced project environment.
- Knowledge of local and international procurement regulations, commercial terms (e.g., Incoterms), and basic contract principles.
