Working across one of Queensland Government's largest purchasing environments, you will support purchasing delegates, procurement practitioners and business stakeholders through practical guidance, support services and training that help them confidently navigate procurement requirements. You will contribute to procurement capability uplift, service improvement and better customer outcomes across the department.Working within the Procurement Capability, Compliance, Systems and Regional Support team, you will support purchasing delegates, procurement practitioners and business stakeholders through practical guidance, support services and training that help them confidently navigate procurement requirements.This is an exciting opportunity for a procurement professional who enjoys working with people and building capability. You will develop guidance materials, deliver training and support service improvements that make procurement easier to understand and apply.Reporting to the Manager, Procurement Compliance and Regional Support, you will work closely with colleagues across Procurement and Facilities Services, including category teams, to strengthen capability, improve customer outcomes and support the effective implementation of procurement policies and procedures. This role may also involve participation in whole-of-government procurement initiatives.Responsibilities IncludeIn this role, you will:Deliver procurement advice, guidance and support services to purchasing delegates, procurement practitioners and business stakeholders.Design and deliver engaging training, learning resources and capability uplift initiatives that strengthen procurement knowledge and confidence.Develop and maintain practical procurement procedures, templates, tools and guidance materials that help customers apply procurement requirements.Build trusted relationships with stakeholders across schools, regional offices, corporate teams and Procurement and Facilities Services.Support communication and engagement activities that improve awareness and understanding of procurement requirements.Use customer feedback and insights to identify opportunities for service improvement and enhanced customer experience.Research, analyse and prepare reports, briefing materials and advice to support procurement policy implementation and operational decision-making.About You: It would be highly desirable to have the following skills and experience:A customer-focused procurement professional who enjoys helping others build confidence and capability.Strong procurement knowledge and practical experience.Demonstrated strengths in training delivery, facilitation, communications or capability development.The ability to translate complex procurement requirements into practical, accessible guidance.Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.A commitment to continuous improvement and customer-focused service delivery.Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.Sound judgement, integrity and a collaborative approach to achieving outcomes.Interested?
