Sweco is seeking a Senior/Principal Wastewater Modeller to join their Urban Drainage Modelling Team in Glasgow. The role involves leading technical delivery of modelling projects, managing teams, and using Infoworks ICM for integrated catchment models.

- Working within agreed deliverables, key milestones, project methodology, quality assurance and control strategy
- Leading project delivery tasks including engagement with clients’ technical teams
- Providing technical guidance, support and training to less experienced colleagues
- Developing modelling processes and creating innovative modelling tools
- Working on a range of different types of modelling projects for clients in both public and private sector
Requirements
- Experience in model build and verification of integrated catchment models and/or solution development using Infoworks ICM
- Experience of GIS (e.g. ArcGIS or Mapinfo) and Infoworks ICM hydraulic modelling software
- A track record in mentoring team members less experienced in this field
- For Principal role: chartered with an appropriate institute (e.g. ICE or CIWEM) or close to achieving chartered status
- Experience of water quality modelling and/or undertaking UPM studies would be advantageous
- Experience of managing projects and acting as technical discipline lead on urban drainage/sewage modelling projects
- Experience in managing modelling teams from a commercial/financial perspective
- An understanding of the market and an interest in business development

Role Overview
- Sweco is recruiting a Senior/Principal Wastewater Modeller (Urban Drainage) to join the Water department in Glasgow.
- The role can be worked flexibly with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office and adjusted start/finish times.
