Senior / Principal Geotechnical Engineer

Strong experience in geotechnical design, including foundations, retaining walls, earthworks, slopes and buried structures, using current industry standards and guidance.

Ability to lead the delivery of desktop studies, plan and interpret ground investigations, develop ground models and manage ground risk effectively.

Experience preparing and applying UK specifications for ground investigations, piling works and earthworks, with a working knowledge of consultancy services and construction contracts.

Confidence using industry-standard geotechnical software for data management, ground modelling, foundation, retaining wall and earthworks design.

A relevant degree in civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, engineering geology or a related discipline, with professional qualification through the ICE, Geological Society or an equivalent body.

You will bring a collaborative and adaptable working style, and the ability to manage work packages across different projects and locations. You will also be motivated to grow Arup’s ground engineering capability through high-quality technical delivery, knowledge sharing and strong client relationships.
