Senior Platform Software Engineer

Software Ecosystem Management (SEM) is a new OCI initiative being built from the ground up to create a trusted view of Oracle’s software ecosystem.

SEM processes large volumes of software metadata from multiple upstream systems, normalizes it into a consistent model, and helps teams understand ownership, lifecycle state, and dependency relationships across services.

What we are looking for

• 4+ years of experience in distributed service engineering or a related software development role
• Strong development experience in Java or another object-oriented language
• Experience building or operating distributed systems and APIs at scale
• Familiarity with databases, data processing, and production-grade backend services
• Experience debugging across service boundaries and improving reliability and performance
• Comfort working in a large enterprise environment with ambiguous, evolving requirements

This role is for an engineer who wants to work on a v1 platform with real scale, real ambiguity, and real impact.

The work requires building reliable, scalable services that can grow with Oracle’s software estate and support teams across OCI.
