Role Overview

WSP is seeking a Senior Planning/Scheduling Engineer for its Site Supervision team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

The role supports major transport, roads, and infrastructure utilities projects during construction supervision.

Planning and Progress Control

  • Review, analyze, and validate contractor baseline programmes and schedule submissions.
  • Monitor construction progress, deviations, risks, recovery opportunities, resources, productivity, and schedule performance.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and executive schedule summaries.
  • Monitor milestones, critical paths, and interface activities across multiple disciplines.

Delay and Contract Administration

  • Conduct schedule impact assessments, delay analyses, and extension of time evaluations.
  • Review contractor look-ahead programmes and recovery schedules.
  • Evaluate contractor claims associated with time impacts and schedule changes.
  • Ensure compliance with project controls procedures, contractual obligations, and reporting requirements.

Project Coordination

  • Support Resident Engineers and Project Managers with planning-related recommendations.
  • Participate in progress meetings and provide planning advice to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary supervision teams covering roads, utilities, traffic, and infrastructure works.
  • Maintain accurate project controls records and programme documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 15 years of professional planning and scheduling experience.
  • Extensive transport, roads, highways, and infrastructure utilities project experience.
  • Strong site supervision consultancy experience on major infrastructure projects.
  • Demonstrated Saudi Arabia experience on large-scale government, municipal, or transportation infrastructure programmes.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 and other project planning software.
  • Knowledge of delay analysis, extension of time assessments, and project controls practices.
  • Experience reviewing contractor programmes and monitoring construction progress during execution.
  • Excellent reporting, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • PMP, PSP, or equivalent professional certifications are preferred.
  • Fluent English is required, while Arabic language skills are advantageous.
  • Experience must be predominantly in consultancy and supervision environments.

Experience Preference

  • Candidates with primarily building construction, contractor execution, design office, or head office planning experience are not preferred.
