Job Purpose

Manage the information and processes needed to estimate, plan, and control railway project schedules from pre-contract award through revenue operation.

Cover railway design, manufacturing, delivery, construction, testing, and commissioning in line with established standards and protocols.

Core Accountabilities

  • Review and approve contractor baseline and detailed schedules and resource plans against the master schedule and agreed milestones.
  • Manage the Primavera database and master project and stakeholder schedules.
  • Maintain internal railway project schedules and support on-site project teams.
  • Monitor planning, design, construction, commissioning, reporting, cost and scheduling, change management, and contract administration.
  • Track contractor progress, attend site progress meetings, and identify impediments to project delivery.
  • Review progress reports and conduct site visits to verify railway systems work and deliverables.
  • Lead forensic schedule analysis for claims and variation orders.
  • Prepare project status reports for executives, supervisors, and other audiences.
  • Monitor interface milestones and coordinate parties to resolve external schedule risks.
  • Ensure PMC scheduling, reporting, and site planning comply with quality and safety standards.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a relevant field.
  • 15–20 years of experience.
  • Oracle Primavera P6 project management is preferable.
  • PMI-SP or AACE Planning & Scheduling Professional certification is listed as relevant.
  • PMI-RMP or AACE Quantitative Risk Analysis certification is listed as relevant.
  • Rail management certification is listed as relevant.

General Responsibilities

Support other business units with planning-related matters and participate in required safety and quality checks.

Support contractor claims, dispute reviews, and arbitration activities.

Perform company activities at company premises and remotely when requested.

Provide continuity of work during colleagues’ absences and stay current on role-related information.
