Job Purpose

  • The Senior Planning Engineer will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and controlling project schedules for an Onshore PMC projects, ensuring engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities are executed in accordance with the approved project baseline.
  • The role requires extensive knowledge and practical working experience in Early Production Facilities (EPF) and Upstream Oil & Gas projects, with mandatory experience across Front End Engineering Design (FEED), Detailed Engineering, and EPC phases.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Certification in Project Management (PMP), Planning & Scheduling Professional (PSP), or equivalent is preferred.

Minimum Experience

  • Minimum 15 years of planning and scheduling experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a PMC engineering consultancy environment.
  • Mandatory practical working experience in Early Production Facilities (EPF) and Upstream Oil & Gas projects.
  • Mandatory hands on experience in Front End Engineering Design (FEED), Detailed Engineering, and EPC phases of Oil & Gas projects.
  • Experience on ADNOC or other major Middle East Oil & Gas projects is highly preferred.
  • Experience in both greenfield and brownfield developments.

Technical Skills

  • Expertise in project planning, scheduling, and progress monitoring.
  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6; knowledge of Microsoft Project is an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of project control principles, schedule analysis, forecasting, and progress measurement.
  • Experience in developing engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning schedules.
  • Knowledge of project execution methodologies and stage gate project delivery.
  • Familiarity with ADNOC project procedures and planning requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform critical path and schedule risk analysis.
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel and project reporting tools.
