Senior Planning Engineer

Role overview

Planning and project controls

• Develop and manage a master schedule integrating multiple packages and assessing interdependencies.
• Develop, implement, and maintain project-controls systems and tools.
• Evaluate planning and scheduling information, identify potential delays, and recommend mitigation measures.
• Manage client expectations and support timely project delivery.

Reporting and claims

• Prepare regular progress reports and presentations addressing program issues and completion status.
• Assess Extension of Time and Disruption claims using leading delay-analysis methodologies.
• Identify risks and conflicts, document them in the project risk register, and conduct what-if analyses.

Team leadership

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to planning engineers.
• Ensure effective project-controls processes and compliance.

Required qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering, or construction management, is required.
• At least 16 years of planning and scheduling experience on infrastructure projects is required.
• Experience with infrastructure and utilities projects and construction-industry interfaces is required.
• Proficiency in scheduling software, particularly Primavera P6, is required.

Desired qualifications

• Good written and oral communication skills are desired.
• Management capabilities and knowledge of industry best practices and regulations are desired.
• GCC experience is preferred.
