Senior Planning Engineer

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules, baseline schedules, execution plans, and work programs.
• Monitor progress, identify delays and schedule risks, and recommend recovery or mitigation measures.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for management and clients.
• Coordinate with construction, engineering, procurement, commercial, and subcontractor teams to collect progress information.
• Track engineering, procurement, material delivery, construction, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Prepare progress measurement, manpower, productivity, and resource-loading reports.
• Review subcontractor schedules and monitor performance against contractual requirements.
• Maintain S-curves, manpower histograms, critical path analysis, look-ahead schedules, recovery schedules, and revised programs.
• Conduct schedule impact analysis and support extension-of-time and delay claims.
• Maintain planning records and ensure timely submission of reports and schedules.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 8–10 years of relevant experience in project planning and scheduling.
• Strong experience in construction, infrastructure, MEP, electrical, or utility projects.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 is essential.
• Knowledge of MS Project and MS Excel is an advantage.
• GCC project experience is preferred.

Core Skills

• Strong knowledge of project scheduling, resource planning, progress measurement, and project controls.
• Experience with baseline schedules, critical path analysis, S-curves, and recovery schedules.
• Experience in delay analysis, extension-of-time preparation, and schedule impact assessments.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, coordination, and communication skills.
